Answer:   There are a total of 6 legs on the floor. But how?

All of the animals in this room are all on the bed :O  but you are not on the bed. So, only your two legs and the four legs of the bed are touching the floor 😀 Because of that, the correct answer is 6.

1. Kevin Finnigan says:

Can’t be right.
My two legs
4 legs from the bed
4 legs from the chair.

1. Franklin Summers says:

it is 8 – your legs are not on the floor, but your feet are…

1. lsrussell95 says:

Being that technical would mean the chair and beds legs aren’t on the floor , their “feet” are. Don’t think about it so hard

1. Kelly says:

I’ve never heard of people on a bed or a chair. They have legs and that’s it they don’t have feet.

1. Ash says:

What about the legs of the chair that the 3 flying chickens are above (chickens dont fly) but ok?

1. Mivkeyzgrl says:

The chair is on the bed. Re-read and look at commas

2. Jana says:

Not every chair has four legs. Chairs may have one leg, two legs, three, five, or even no legs.

1. me says:

all chairs have 4 legs, if it one, its not a leg, never seen 2, if its 3 its a stool

1. Anonymous says:

Beach chairs, fold up chairs have bars, not legs….

2. Rita oneil says:

Same as the bed could come from the wall! Lol 😉

1. Anonymous says:

Then it would be calling market better and able to still have four legs on the bottom look it up

3. Anonymous says:

Not every bed has legs.

4. Anonymous says:

You have to count the chair

5. Anonymous says:

A one legged chair?

6. Linda Gilchrest says:

My glider rocker has a round base so only 1 “leg”/base

3. Anonymous says:

Your FEET not legs are on the floor… so should be 8… 4 x bed 4 x chair

1. Anonymous says:

Beds have post not legs

1. Anonymous says:

The posts go up and the legs go down.

2. Anonymous says:

4×4 is not 8

3. Anonymous says:

The chair is on the bed

4. Kenneth Wagner says:

5. Katherine says:

It never says the chair is in the room, just an add on comment that has no relevance just there to confuse…

1. Mattie O says:

What are the chickens flying over?

1. Anonymous says:

Chickens can’t fly

1. Rome says:

chickens can fly , albeit for only short distances…maybe 20 feet…we have them and I have seen them fly.

6. Anonymous says:

Chair is on the bed

7. Rita oneil says:

I see it written two ways one with chair one without. If you add the bed or chair your adding 4 ether way.

8. Rebecca says:

Your legs aren’t on the floor, your feet are. So wouldn’t it be 8?

9. Cruz says:

Who said the chair was on the floor?

10. Anonymous says:

I agree!!

11. Anonymous says:

Also can’t be right because feet go on the floor, not legs.

12. Anonymous says:

Correct!

13. Kelly says:

Your legs arent on the floor, your feet are. So therefore the answer is 8, four legs from the back and four legs from the chair

14. Jeff says:

Hi lens don’t fly homie

15. Anonymous says:

It’s either 10 or 8 if your legs are not counted because in reality it’s your feet on the floor not your legs.

2. Anonymous says:

Never says the chair is on the floor… it’s 6!

3. Anonymous says:

It never says the bed is on the floor either…

4. Anonymous says:

it also never says that you are on the floor either.

5. Anonymous says:

Not enough information…. Is the bed in the room the person walked into? Number of legs on the floor where?

6. Rome says:

chickens can fly , albeit for only short distances…maybe 20 feet…we have them and I have seen them fly.

7. Anonymous says:

Your feet are on the floor, not your legs. The animals are either toys, as a bed would neither support that much weight nor would their be room, OR the animals are real, therefore the bed must not be one upon which a human would sleep. The chair with the chickens is in the list of items on the bed, not separate, so it contributes 0 legs on the floor. If we assume that all information necessary to answer the problem is present within the problem, then we must conclude that the animals are real, in which case the bed must be a bed of straw upon which the animals would sleep, or a truck bed which would support their weight. In either case, no additional legs would be touching the floor so we end up with 0+0+0.. So the answer is 0 legs are touching the floor.
