Man, trailers are really giving away too much nowadays
My wife loves Conjuring movies and horror movies in general. I’m not the biggest fan but I love a good jump scare. And from what I understand that series is good for just that.
So the trailer for the new Conjuring comes on in the theater and it’s like showing the whole damn movie. By the end, it had shown 3 jump scares. And not like a quick flash to each one but scenes had like 15 seconds of context each.
You figure a decent horror movie has 3-5 of those. I’m now extremely confident I’ll know exactly at what point these are gonna play. Not only that, I know the entire direction the movie is headed and likely will likely be able to predict the ending after the first half-hour without knowing absolutely nothing about the story.
Sorry for the rant, I know people see this a lot but I feel this one somehow managed to take it even further.
